The Social Medical Insurance Fund decided to voluntarily reveal all the details, or rather, the figures.
They issued a press release informing about the actual earnings of the leadership against the background of rumors about multimillion bonuses for the SMIF top management.
The Board of Directors has set the maximum limits for the salary of the chairman of the fund’s board.
The salary of the acting head of the board is at the minimum established level, amounting to KZT 1.39 million net,
the statement said.
The fund explained that the size of the bonus for each board member is limited to 10 MCI (monthly calculated index) (KZT 600,000 in 2022).
This is the entire amount intended for payment as a bonus for one board member per year. The board members did not receive any other rewards. Information about bonuses and supposedly multimillion-dollar premiums for SMIF top managers is not true. The amount of KZT 93.8 million mentioned in the fund’s annual report is the total of salaries, above-mentioned bonuses, vacation pays, and medical benefits for board members based on the results of the year 2022,
SMIF asserts.
