Traffic jams stretching for many kilometers have formed at the border with Russia in the Aktobe region.
Diapazon.kz published a video of huge queues at the «Zhaysan» and «Alimbet» checkpoints.
Drivers claim that they have to wait for several days.
The border service of the KNB of the Republic of Kazakhstan considers this to be a seasonal phenomenon.
“That is caused by an increase in transportation of fruits and vegetables, which phenomenon is of seasonal nature. Border checkpoints operate in the normal service regime, no limitations and constraints on traffic were dropped” – the agency reports.
