Western media outlets have been actively circulating news that Kazakhstan has restricted and even banned the sale of various goods to Russia due to US sanctions. However, this does not align with reality.
Prominent political analyst Danjar Ashimbaev wrote on his Telegram channel:
«The Ministry of Trade and Integration (MTI) reports: Regarding the information circulated in the media about a ban on selling 106 types of goods to Russia, the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan officially declares its inaccuracy.
Regulation of trade relations between Kazakhstan and Russia occurs in full compliance with the provisions of the Eurasian Economic Union Treaty. There have been no restrictions on exporting any goods to the Russian Federation due to anti-Russian sanctions.»
