We hope our esteemed audience had a chance to read our previous little essay regarding the Albion Anabasis taken by the leader of the so-called Coalition of Democratic Forces, Mr. Bulat Abilov, together with his accomplice, ex banking mogul, Mr. Urazaly Yerzhanov (maiden first name was actually Orazaly), where the two were admitted at the office of a UK MP, Dame Margaret Hodge, known as a brutal threat to all Kazakh oligarchs.
Opposition’s Black Lists
Recently, our counter-corruption strugglers returned from UK and paid a visit to Vadim Boreyko, Giperborey Youtube Channel Founder, to discuss what they brought from London.
Yerzhanov reported that himself and Butya handed over to Margaret Hodge the black lists prepared by the Kazakh opposition, in which lists there were credentials of persons with accounts in foreign banks. Yerzhanov added that there were the names of 162 top-ranking public servants and oligarchs in those black lists …
Given the above, we are itching with curiosity to know whether inside those black lists, Ms. Hodge would find the credentials of Butya’s relatives and Yerzhanov’s ex-partners? For example, Yevgeniy Feld, Butya’s secret Son-in-Law, in regards to whom rumors circulate that he is married to Butya’s daughter, or Talgat Yermegiyayev, Yerzhanov’s good friend, who rescued Yerzhanov from a burning helicopter?
Butya’s Son-in-Law is a former Director of a Kitchen Garden Fruits and Vegetables Marshalling Yard in Karaganda and a present end beneficiary of Meridian Capital, a business empire with billions of dollars. Rumors are that it has been a long time, since he relocated to London City, where he bought luxury estate, the cost of which totals some KZT12 billion.
According to a UK real estate register, Feld paid £21 million for apartment #4 at Cambridge Gate, 7. This is a luxurious piece of estate in the vicinity of Regent’s Park. The flat is 500 square meters, it has two levels, five bedrooms, kitchen, guest-hall, working office, technical rooms and four bath-rooms. Today, the cost of the apartment is £23 million. For those, who do not boast knowledge of English and specifics of real estate in London, we clarify that Ian Fleming’s Agent 007 is a habitual resident of Regent’s Park, because His Majesty’s secret service is located there. Apartment #4, occupied by Feld’s Younger Spouse (Toqal, in Kazakh) is not Feld’s only refuge in London. Pretty close, at Cambridge Gate, 3, there is another apartment bought by Feld for his Older Spouse (Baibishe, in Kazakh), Gulnara Zhokebayeva. The latter lady can, in her turn, boast six bath-rooms, five bed-rooms, a guest-room and a kitchen. Feld paid £4.4 million for that estate. Today, as London estate databases show, such an asset would cost Feld £12.5 million or KZT 6.4 billion.
Is Dame Hodge, at all, in the know of above?
Amicus Yermegiyayev, Sed Magis Amica Est Veritas!
Globalnews act in support of the “Fair and Just Kazakhstan” doctrine. In the light of that, we, hereby, extend our request to Margaret Hodge to have more names included in those lists made by the two Kazakh justice-seekers. One of them, for example, is Talgat Yermegiyayev, Urazaly Yerzhanov’s friend.
With this respect, we are discussing KZT 13 billion that the said individual, together with his accomplices stole from the Astana Expo National Project.
Kayrat Kozhamzharov, a former director of the Kazakhstan Anti-Corruption Service, reported that the embezzled sum was transferred to a foreign bank account under the legend of expenditures regarding the promotion of the national project abroad.
By the way, it is worth mentioning that throughout all 22 years of professional career, Yermegiyayev “left his fingerprints” almost everywhere, where he worked. Many years ago, the Pakhat Palace Hotel was built in Almaty by the Rakhat Joint Venture. The company took from foreign banks a 1 billion Austrian Schilling loan, while the Government of Kazakhstan guaranteed the due loan pay-out. Later, the company declared default on payment, and the loan was paid out by the Government. What does Yermegiyayev have to do with that default? He was a Deputy Director General in the Rakhat Kazakhstan-Austria Joint Venture.
Or, how about the Valut Tranzit Bank scandal. The bank was stripped from membership in Kazakhstan Securities Exchange, for failure to timely pay back USD 10 million. Interesting is, whether Yerzhanov included his own self in the black lists? In 2012, Yerzhanov, the ex-CEO of JSC Nauryz Bank Kazakhstan was sentenced to 5 years in detention. Anti-Corruption service reported that he had embezzled some USD 30 million. His accomplices in that operation were his close relatives – two brothers, Batyrkhan and Aman Narbayevs. Yerzhanov never returned the money back to the country. And it is unknown, in what particular offshore accounts those funds are today.
