Wiesbaden feels different from many German cities. There is elegance here, calm and almost old-fashioned in the best sense of the word: grand buildings, quiet parks, thermal springs and wide streets lined with chestnut trees.

For centuries people came to Wiesbaden for its healing waters. Even today the city still carries the atmosphere of a European spa town from another era. Unlike Berlin or Frankfurt, Wiesbaden does not seek attention. It feels confident in its quiet beauty. The city does not overwhelm visitors with monuments or noise. Instead, it leaves behind a feeling of balance, calmness and graceful European charm.
