Russian politicians seem to love Kazakhstan so much that they regularly come up with tales about us.

Renowned political analyst Marat Shibutov has called on our neighbors to stop this activity and, in the process, listed these tales on his Telegram channel:

«To mark the 10th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation on Good-Neighborliness and Alliance in the 21st Century, Russian experts suggest that we jointly combat the fake news circulated in the media. It’s a very cool idea.

But there’s a catch! Unfortunately, the majority of fakes about Russian-Kazakhstani relations are invented by Russian colleagues, some of whom I know personally. And this falsehood is circulated every year — they are very persistent, and they are constantly brought up.

Here’s the list:
