There is no scientific justification for abandoning carbon fuels! Renowned agro-expert Kirill Pavlov has put forth an unpopular perspective in the field of energy, asserting that there is no scientific evidence that discontinuing the use of carbon fuels will «reverse» global warming.

On his Telegram channel, the expert writes verbatim:

«The President of the Global Climate Charter Cop28, Sultan Al-Jaber, stated that there are ‘no scientific data’ indicating the need for a phased withdrawal from fossil fuels to limit global warming to 1.5°C, as reported by the Climate Reporting Center.

Al Jaber also mentioned that a phased withdrawal from fossil fuels would not ensure sustainable development, ‘unless you want to return the world to caves.’

These remarks were made in response to questions from Mary Robinson, chair of the elders’ group and former UN special envoy on climate change, during a live online event on November 21.

Al Jaber not only leads Cop28 in Dubai but also serves as the executive director of the UAE’s state oil company Adnoc, a situation that many observers consider a serious conflict of interest.
