24 February, a 14-year old girl and her Mother attended the Aqtau Perinatology Center and asked to perform an interruption of pregnancy for social reasons.  At the time of visit, the girl was at 13-14 week of pregnancy, the Lada News Agency reported.

Perinatology Center doctors called in Aqtau Police Department.  Police officers identified and arrested the person suspected of sexual intercourse with an underaged.

Investigation established that the suspect was the pregnant girl’s Father.  The crime was registered in the Uniform Register of Pre-Trial Investigation as an offence envisaged in the Article 120 of the Crime Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan (rape). For the purposes of investigation, no other information was made available to public.
